Audio Recording of Veterinary Consultations
Audio Recording of Consultations
At Sleaford Vets, we are committed to providing safe, accurate and high-quality veterinary care. To support this, veterinary consultations may be audio recorded.
We record consultations for the following purposes:
- maintaining accurate clinical records and treatment discussions;
- supporting continuity of care between members of the clinical team;
- reducing the risk of misunderstandings regarding advice, treatment options or consent discussions;
- staff training, professional development and quality assurance; and
- assisting with the investigation or resolution of complaints or concerns where necessary.
Recordings are stored securely and treated as confidential clinical information. Access is restricted to authorised members of our team and, where appropriate, professional advisers or regulatory bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Recordings will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary in accordance with our data retention procedures and legal obligations.
If you have any concerns about the recording of your consultation, please speak to a member of our team before your appointment. We will consider any concerns and, where appropriate, discuss alternative arrangements.
For further information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information, please contact us.
